LVT OPENING
Best Friend's Veterinary Center is looking for a Licensed Veterinary Technician to add to our already amazing team. The role of the LVT is to:
-Assist veterinarians in the practice of veterinary medicine and surgery
-Perform all medical/surgical procedures under the direct supervision of the veterinary staff 
-Perform all laboratory in-hospital procedures
and to prepare specimens for outside laboratories
-Assist veterinarians in outpatient by taking histories, vital signs and weights
-Provide nursing care for in-hospital patients
-Conduct pre-admission examinations and discharge office visits
-Have client contact through these visits and through other ways such as call-back phone calls
-Maintain robust and legally defensible medical records in cooperation with the veterinary staff

Educational Requirements: State License to work as a Licensed Veterinary Technician.

Availability: Flexible schedule availability is a must.

PRACTICE MANAGER OPENING

Best Friend's Veterinary Center is looking for an experienced Practice Manager as our current Practice Manager will be moving away. The Practice Manager is responsible for the business activities of the practice including: staff leadership; working with the owner to prepare financial statements and budgets; monitoring key performance indicators and setting fees; overseeing inventory and an inventory control system; and managing the hospital software and technology systems. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities 
-Collaborates in a leadership role with the Hospital Director to achieve established goals for the hospital's success.
-Prepares and reviews financial statements and participates in a regular planning and budget process. 
-Acts as a champion for change and identifies, documents, shares, and promotes best practices. 
-Markets services through internal and community-based programs.
-Performs quality checks. 
-Maintains vendor relationships.
-Oversees the hospital schedule and manages labor costs.
-Monitors systems and works with to resolve technical systems/equipment issues. 
-Works with the Hospital Director to oversee staffing needs (such as hiring, performance management, separation) 
-Promotes a client-centered environment and facilitates programs and processes that meet client needs.

Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 
-Human Resources, supervisory/management and leadership experience. 
-Customer service and marketing techniques. 
-Financial reporting and data analysis
-General management skills including reporting and data analysis. 
-Problem solving and conflict management skills. 
-Interpersonal skills - excellent oral and written communication skills. 
-Organizational, time management and delegation skills. 
-Basic computer skills: Microsoft Office, Email. Impromed practice management software knowledge preferred. 

Qualifications: Education/ Experience 
-Bachelor's degree in business or related degree preferred. 
-2 to 5 years of experience in a Management role that also includes customer service. 
-Experience in a hospital setting in positions of increased responsibility a plus. (Certified Veterinary Practice Manager designation is desirable but not required).
